Hôtel des Princes

WWWWWW | 33 rue Geiler ; 67000 Strasbourg (France)

Location
It's a 10 minute drive with a taxi from the train station in Strasbourg! It's a bit hard to find since it doesn't have that typical "hotel look".

Hotel
It's a cute little hotel with very few rooms. However they have a small room and balcony where you can have breakfast.

Rooms

As you can see from my room tour here we had a very beautiful room! They have different sizes and looks which is always a plus cause you never know what your room might look like this time. It's absolutely clean (and is cleaned every day of course) and it just feels like home. Also, the bathrooms are big and depending on the room you either have a shower or bathtub! Oh and in case you want internet / wifi you just have to ask at the reception and you get a password! :)

Food

We actually never had breakfast or dinner there since we went on a business to Strasbourg! Everything had to be quick so we ordered breakfast to our room. They have a nice room service with a fairly big card. We had pizza, scampi, tarts with bacon & onion (Flammkuchen) and more. It was all served fairly quick (within 20 minutes or less) and you could also order some drinks! As for breakfast: it was so much! You just had to fill out a card the night before and you get everything to your room.

Service
Like you can tell from the room service the staff is absolutely amazing. They also have a 24h service in case you need something. They're friendly, helpful (in case you need tips for Strasbourg) and really put the costumer over everything else!

Notes
The view you get from the hotel is stunning! The hotel itself as its buildings around are simply beautiful. They look straight from another time. Also, if you have someone with a wheelchair with you, there will be no problem. They have an elevator and a ramp to enter the hotel!

Conclusion
We can highly recommend this hotel to you. It's a nice and affordable stay - even if it's just for a weekend. Strasbourg is too beautiful to only spend two days there though ;)

Panorama

WWW Piazza Fonatana ; Bibione (Italy)

Location
It is located in the middle of Bibione and very easy to find. It's on the second floor and you can spend a quiet evening without too many people walking through the streets and shouting.

Looks
Like the name says you actually sit on the second floor and have a panorama view over a part of Bibione. You can see the entire shopping street and also a bit of the "Luna Park" (Fun Fair). It might not look like the most expensive or fancy restaurant but the atmosphere is incredible!

Food
Of corse you can get typical Italian food! I personally adored the the "Spaghetti alla vongole" (which I've never eaten before). The taste was amazing and also the pizza is how you imagine it: thin crust, tasty and not too much cheese! However, you need to pay for cutlery so keep that in mind!

Service
Depending on whether it's rush hour or not you might find yourself waiting for your food. Which is not a big deal but we thought we should mention it as well! The staff is nice, helpful and always in for a joke or two! Also, they speak German and English in case you need it :)

Conclusion
We can highly recommend it. We know from personal experience but also from friends and family who went there that the food is always good and warm. And freshly made (which is always a must when you order fish for example). We just loved watching everyone getting ready for dinner and / or shopping while sitting upstairs and enjoying the sunset!

Strasbourg Room Tour

So while we're staying in Strasbourg I thought I could do a little room tour for you guys. We're staying at the Hôtel des Princes which is really close to the center of Strasbourg. After a 15 mins. walk you arrive at the famous cathedral and can continue to shop 'til you drop!

This is what out room looks like. We've been here for the third time and this is by far the biggest room we stayed in. It is a superieure room and I absolutely love it!

Just look at that massive closet. Oh you could buy so may clothes to fill this one up (ours in just filled by half!)

I love this mirror so badly! It is large and beautiful (I think that every good hotel needs a big mirror!)

We also have a little desk area. It is placed in front of an huge window but unfortunately our view isn't the best :(

My nightstand. Yeah please don't mind it, it looks horrible with too many things on top!

Our enormous shower! The last times we were here, we had a bathtub so I'm really pleased with a shower. You can actually sit in there and I think this is awesome :)

Also the sink is brand new (excuse the mess) but it fits perfectly into the room!
